The Barcelona star expressed his frustration on social media the day after a bitter defeat to his club's biggest rivals
Lionel Messi took to Instagram to announce his frustration on Monday, pronouncing the day "f*cked up".
The Barcelona star posted the day after his side fell 3-1 to Real Madrid at home in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.

Messi looks dejected as he walks off the pitch following the 3-1 defeat by Real Madrid               Cristiano Ronaldo managed to see the funny side at training despite being handed a five-match ban for his controversial red card in the Clasico.
Ronaldo appeared to again taunt his great rival Lionel Messi by posing with his 'winning team' after a quick return to Real Madrid training.
Messi has bluntly described Barcelona's defeat by Real Madrid as 'fuck up' after the Argentinian saw Ronaldo and Co storm the Nou Camp in the first Clasico of the campaign.
Messi put no filter on his emotions as he took in the previous day's events on Monday morning.
The Portuguese struck a pose alongside team-mates Lucas Vazquez, Dani Ceballos, Nacho and Achraf Hakimi and included the caption: 'Great session this morning!!! Winning team.'
While Ronaldo may be enjoying the bragging rights for now, he has now been banned for five matches - plus a £2,700 - for pushing referee Ricardo de Burgos Bergoetxea after being shown a second yellow for an apparent dive.
The Portuguese had been given his first warning only minutes earlier after removing his shirt to celebrate his goal and was then given his marching orders after going down under the challenge of Samuel Umtiti.
Article 96 of the rulebook applies to players who 'grab, push or shake' a referee in a 'slightly violent manner' and recommends a four to 12 game suspension for such offences.
Cristiano Ronaldo shoves referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea after his sending off                  Messi buried a penalty in the ill-tempered match to cancel out Gerard Pique's own goal, but Barcelona again found themselves behind when Ronaldo came off the bench and fired in a stunning effort.
Barcelona looked set to get themselves back in the match after the FIFA Player of the Year was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for an apparent dive, but instead found themselves further behind by full time.
Marco Asensio was the man to give Real Madrid a commanding two-goal lead with another long-range effort in injury time, further enhancing his growing reputation as a new star under Zinedine Zidane.

It was also a bad start for new manager Ernesto Valverde, who could find himself under immediate pressure if Barcelona do not reclaim some respect in the second leg this Wednesday.
Barcelona should have the benefit of not having to face Ronaldo although Zidane did confirm that the club would try to appeal his star player's second yellow card.
'We played a great game but I am annoyed by Cristiano's sending off,' Zidane told a news conference.
'Perhaps it wasn't a penalty but the red card is a little harsh. We can't change it, but we'll try and make sure he plays on Wednesday.'
