Cristiano Ronaldo RIPS Gianluigi Buffon over Champs League final - but Messi NOT impressed

                               

REAL MADRID: star Cristiano Ronaldo will not let Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon forget about the Champions League final.

The Portuguese forward scored twice as the Spanish side beat the Old Lady 4-1 to claim their 12th title.

At the draw for this season’s Champions League yesterday, Ronaldo was honoured with Forward of the Year while Buffon was named Goalkeeper of the Year.

And the former Man Utd man couldn’t resist reminding the 39-year-old stopper about the result and the brace he put past him.

When asked what his best goal out of the 100 he has scored in the competition, Ronaldo replies: “The last one against this old man.”

The audience laughs as Buffon chuckles next to him, trying to mask the pain of having never won a Champions League title despite going so close.

But the whole saga is overshadowed by Lionel Messi who sits looking into the distance, barely recognising Ronaldo’s existence.

The footage was quickly shared on Reddit with users pointing out the Argentinian’s odd behaviour.

“Messi contemplating life,” wrote one.

Another added: “Messi looks bored asf.”

 While a third said: “Messi hates being there right now.”

The draw threw up a mixed bag for English clubs.
Manchester United arguably got the easiest draw with Basel, CSKA Moscow and Benfica.
Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur got the hardest group with Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and APOEL.
